It has been an exciting few days here in Amitzim! Our first day at camp was spent taking a tour, meeting new friends, learning about our schedule, special activities and singing. Yesterday on our first real day we were busy with tons of great activities like meeting our yahadut or Jewish studies teachers. This year we have four amazing teachers who are helping us learn the meaning of prayers. Just this morning Amitzim was sitting in tents outside of our bunks learning about the prayer mah tovu which explains the importance of houses of worship. The campers also got the chance to design their own special places to pray!

The weather has been amazing so far. We spent yesterday swimming in the agam (lake), going to activities such as boating, omanut (arts and crafts), teva (nature), the ropes course and drama. We also learned our edah song which is filled with lots of ruach!! We are looking forward to today where we will start our job rotations and have our first campfire with Voc-Ed tonight!
