One of the primary aspects of last summer’s Magshimim experience was their Ramah Take-Home project.  Ramah Take-Home is a way to extend the Ramah Jewish experience throughout the year, by engaging campers and their families in on-going Jewish learning and activities.

Last summer, MMag Bencheragshimim dedicated a significant amount of time to learning about Birkat Hamazon, the blessings after the meal.    (To learn more about Birkat Hamazon click here.)

As part of their learning experience, Magshimim campers developed their own personal blessings, which gave expression to those things that they hoped for or greatly appreciated.   Magshimim then designed and compiled their own bencher (booklet with Birkat Hamazon), which, in addition to the traditional texts, included pictures from the summer and many of their personal blessings.

We are pleased  to announce that this beautiful bencher is now available to download and print from our website. To download a copy, please click here.  We hope that your family will utilize this bencher during your family and Shabbat meals.

Additionally, every two weeks we will be posting one of the blessings that various Magshimim campers composed.  We hope that you will include these blessings in your family’s meal time prayers and use them as a way to reflect upon that which your family may hope for or appreciate.

This week’s blessing comes from Ayelet Meridy:

May God keep the people who make our food healthy and well-fed, just like us.

Chag Hanukah Sameach,
