Ramah Alternative Break in Israel- Day 4

Blogging the Ramah JNF Alternative Break program in Israel
Day 4
On Thursday we began our day with a visit to the Aleh Negev center for the disabled.   This is the site where participants raised over $22,000 to support.    Aleh Negev Provides comprehensive and lifetime support to people with severe mental and physical disabilities.  We received a tour of the campus, which includes a multitude of rehabilitation and physical therapy facilities, including an amazing sensory stimulation room.
We then helped package art and judaic projects, which are made by the residents, and then sold to support the center.   A few participants also helped a few patients conduct water therapy in a specialized pool.
Later in the day we visited a giant indoor playground and recreation center in Sdrot, which was built to provide the children of the town with a safe place to play during the onslaught of shillings from Gaza. The center, which includes a soccer courts, a climbing wall, a moon bounce and a video game station, was truly amazing.
That evening we came to Jerusalem, and participants had a free night out on Ben Yehudah Street.
