Shabbat Solelim: rikud and shira between the raindrops

This Shabbat was Shabbat Solelim.  We were treated to a beautiful rikud (dance) and shir (song) as the entire Machane (camp) came together in the chorsha (grove) for Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma’ariv. Solelim sang Moxi’s Nigun: Ana b’Koach by Joey Weisnberg.  You can watch them singing on the Ramah Palmer face book page: https://www.facebook.com/RamahPalmer

The Edah danced to Bey Ana Rachetz, choreographed by Sarah Rodin, Rosh Rikud.  Eli davened Kabbalat Shabbat and Ella davened Ma’ariv.  They both did a great job, especially when we had to switch locations to the Beit Am Gadol right before Lecha Dodi due to an unexpected rain shower. The weather didn’t dampen our Shabbat ruach and by the time we left the Beit Am Gadol to walk to Aruchat Erev, the rain had slowed to a drizzle.
