Solelim Takes Shabbat Home

On the Yom Meyuchad Macabia Tzad Aleph this past Sunday, Solelim also participated in a wonderful art project. With their counselors to help them, and a guest artist who came in from outside of camp for the afternoon, Solelimers each made their own challah board. They began by drawing designs, they stained the wood with colored dye, and they applied a protective coat of mineral oil. The challah boards that they made are beautiful and food safe. This is a great way for our campers to take the excitement, joy, and love of Shabbat that they learn at camp home with them for the rest of the year.
