Tarbut Yisraelit: Gan!

Many of our dedicated tzevet (staff) are able to serve here at Palmer thanks in large part to the tremendous service provided by the hardworking tzevet gan.  The gan children participate in many chugim (electives) just as if they were chanichim (campers)! Pictured here are their fun activities in Tarbut Yisraelit (Israeli Culture), including painting large “rocks” to create a large Kotel.  This is of particular relevance today, as we have celebrated the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, and also in observance of Tisha B’av.  Batya, Shir, Gila, and Akiva are all part of the creative, energetic Tarbut Yisraelit team for which we are grateful.

And here is a photo tribute to the Gan staff, as we express Hakarat HaTov (gratitude) for their dedicated service to Palmer.

And more: this past Friday, the Gan children were treated to reading the book: Hanna’s Sabbath Dress; they then acted out the story, and made art to illustrate it.
