The Amitzim Play!

As I sit here writing this post, I am overjoyed and extremely proud of edat ha Amitzim! Tonight the entire camp gathered together as the 16 wonderful Amitzim campers put on a fantastic performance. For the past two weeks we have been rehearsing, learning lines, perfecting drama skills, making scenery, collecting costumes in order to get ready for tonight's big show. The madrichim worked extremely hard getting all of the details down and making the play a huge success. 

The play was a nesiya (journey) to etgar (our camping trip). Amitzim "lost" Howard Blas and was given various challenges and clues throughout the play in order to find out where he was. We practiced boating safety, built a life size s'more together, put on a beautiful dance, learned Hebrew words about camping and much more. All of the actors were excited and beaming throughout the entire show. When it was over Amitzim burst into a giant dance party to celebrate.
