RAMAH: ELEVATE YOUR SUMMER
Get to know Camp Ramah
Camp Ramah in New England is located in Palmer, Massachusetts, just one hour west of Boston. The camp is set in the foothills of the Berkshires mountains on the shore of a beautiful lake, surrounded by wooded areas. There is a supervised Kosher kitchen, an infirmary with a physician and nurses in attendance at all times, and camper cabins equipped with bathroom and shower facilities. Summer programs are for children currently in grades two through ten and include two week sessions for younger children (grades 2-3) and four or eight week sessions for children in grades 3-10.
Campers who attend Camp Ramah in New England benefit from the full Ramah experience: swimming and boating on two waterfronts; a ropes course; a wide variety of sports; arts and crafts opportunities which include woodworking, pottery, silkscreening, and printmaking; music, dance, and drama; videography, photography, and web design; nature activities and an extensive outdoor education program.
We infuse our programs with some of the most innovative teaching techniques available in Jewish education. Integrated into the camp day is a unique Jewish education program which enables our campers to learn Hebrew and study their Jewish heritage in an informal setting. Our trained staff brings to the camp a commitment to provide each camper with an exciting, challenging camp program unlike any other.
Camp Ramah operates under the auspices of the Jewish Theological Seminary and serves as the camping arm of the Conservative Movement of Judaism. Integrating the fun of summer camp with meaningful content, the Ramah experience is a wonderful part of growing up Jewish in the modern world.
