The Ramah Experience
Jewish Life

Jewish Life

At Ramah, Judaism is organically woven into our campers’ lives. This joyous Jewish experience is unique and essential in developing a camper’s strong lifetime connection to Judaism.

Jewish Life

The same Bobby who never opened his mouth in Synagogue at home joins in singing during Friday night t’fillot (prayers), sitting among his friends and staff members in our gorgeously wooded grove.

Jewish Life

Ethan feels a sense of pride as he walks by the installation art project he helped create. Ethan had fashioned a piece that included a hopeful prayer he had written. All of these works of art were woven across the main road that runs through camp.

Jewish Life

After a few years at camp, Sarah chose to participate in our Beit Midrash program. For the first time, Rabbinic texts came alive for her as she studied moral issues with our Scholar-In-Residence, and she realized that the Jewish communities of yesteryear were dealing with similar issues to today.

Jewish Life

This natural integration of Judaism in daily activities is highlighted by the following programs:
Yahadut (Judaica)
T’fillah (prayer)
Shabbat
Ivrit (Hebrew)
Shirah/Rikud (Singing & Dancing)
