Elisheva Layman, Rosh Amitzim, checks in from the Ramah/JNF Israel Program!

A group of 33 Ramahniks from all of the camps have gathered together in Israel for a week long service trip in partnership with JNF (The Jewish National Fund). Over the past few days these dedicated counselors and staff members have been working hard and volunteering in the south of Israel. We have visited organizations such as the Jaffa Institute and have worked on projects involving farming, working the land of the desert, packing boxes of food for those who are less fortunate, learning about how to rebuild the Negev from speakers and organizations and so much more! Everyone is so enthused and hard working. It's a great atmosphere. This afternoon we took a little break for a hike in the Negev. Check out the beautiful sunset below! We also played some games to get to know one another and share our mutual love of Ramah. Here is a picture of the group hanging out on the hike. We are looking forward to the rest of the week in Jerusalem! Laila tov from Israel.
