Adat Ha-Shoafim Outdoor Cooking
It was smoky, sweet, savory and all-around delicious at outdoor cooking for Adat Ha-Shoafim. The Chanichim (campers) were making a skillet cooked bread over the fire. The base dough of the bread was the same, however, each Chanich was able to choose whether to do a sweet pastry consisting of butter, chocolate chips, cinnamon and sugar, or savory adding olive oil and sea salt. Naomi said “cooking like this makes me want to try new recipes when I go camping.” Cati said, “it’s so much fun to cook outside surrounded by friends.” It’s another delicious day at Machaneh Ramah!
