Amitzim celebrates Purim!

Yesterday Amitzim had a Yom Meyuchad (day of special activities) where we learned and celebrated about the holiday of Purim! We started the day by dressing up in costume, a common Purim tradition, acted out the story of Esther and learned about the different characters. We then had a Purim carnival and listened to the megillah. In the afternoon we joined up with Solelim to bake hamantaschen and then put together mishloach manot to hand out around camp. We sang Purim songs and acted out Purim schpiels to end the day. Everyone had a great time in true holiday spirit!
