Amitzim’s Game of Life!

Yesterday Amitzim went through the “game of life” on our first Yom Meyuchad (day of special activities). The counselors planned a day filled with life cycle events. We started the morning as babies at a naming ceremony, made our way through kindergarten with finger painting, celebrated a bar-mitzvah and even did a “research project” for high school. In the afternoon we built our own houses in teams and went to a job fair where we simulated what it would be like to be a famous singer, model and athlete. We got to do kareoke, put on silly costumes and play kickball. It wouldn’t be a day filled with life cycle events if we didn’t end in a wedding, so after dinner we gathered at the new Beit am Gadol and celebrated the “marriage” of Elisheva and Howard! The campers were excited and engaged all day long and had a great time playing the game of life. Happy 4th of July 🙂
