Amitzim’s Special Activities

Week four in Amitzim has been very exciting and filled with unique opportunities! Two highlights of the week have been working on the “take home project” and peulat tzrif (bunk activities). The “Take Home Project” is a camp wide project that all of the chanichim work on over the summer in order to take home a little piece of camp with them to keep throughout the year. This year the take home projects are beautiful tiled mezuzuot. Amitzim had a chance to work with the visiting artist this week to complete the project. Below you can check out this great photo of one of our campers working hard.

Another highlight of our week was this afternoon when every bunk did a special activity together. One bunk went to Cafe Ramah to make pizza burekas and practice their Hebrew skills. Another bunk went to the water trampoline to splash around on the very hot day. One bunk had a special movie screening with pillows and mattresses on the floor and the other bunk had a spa afternoon with their Bogrim buddies. Each bunk set up a unique experience and each bunk had a blast hanging out around camp in some places where we don’t get to go as often. We are looking forward to our carnival tomorrow and end of the session banquet! Good night from Palmer.
