Announcing New Camper Events & Prospective Family Day!
We are excited to announce a series of upcoming events, designed for NEW CAMPERS coming to Camp Ramah for the first time this summer, and their families; as well as for PROSPECTIVE CAMPERS considering Camp Ramah! We hope you will join us at one of these events!
“Virtual” New Camper Event: Wednesday, May 29th, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. If you don’t live within driving distance of our Boston or DC-Area events (see below), we hope that you’ll join us for this Virtual Meeting! Without leaving the comfort of your own home, you log in and watch live video of our Assistant Director, Josh Edelglass, talking about camp, and answering questions that participating campers and parents submit via their computers as the event is going on! Boston Area New Camper Event: Thursday, May 30th from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM, at the home of Elisa Deener-Agus & Michael Agus at 51 Tarleton Rd., in Newton Centre, MA. Our Director, Rabbi Ed Gelb and our Assistant Director, Josh Edelglass, will be there to meet with parents and answer questions, and several of our amazing counselors will provide fun programming for our new campers, answering their questions and getting them excited for an amazing summer at Ramah! DC/MD/Northern VA Area New Camper Event: Sunday, June 2nd from 3:30 pm to 5:00 PM, at the home of Lori and Larry Bard: 5505 Lincoln St., in Bethesda, MD. Our Director of Camper Care, Talya Kalender, and our Community Liason for the Greater Washington, DC area, Lori Fish Bard, will be there to meet with parents and answer questions, and several of our amazing counselors will provide fun programming for our new campers,answering their questions and getting them excited for an amazing summer at Ramah! May 19th Tours of Camp: New campers already signed up for 2013, as well as prospective families, are invited to come visit Camp Ramah for a tour of camp run by Josh Edelglass, our Assistant Director! The tour will begin promptly at 10:30 AM and will last until approx. noon. Families are welcome to join us for a BBQ lunch that will be held at 12:30 (as part of our 60th Anniversary reunion being held that day). Please RSVP to Josh Edelglass at joshe@campramahne.org.
Prospective Family Day: Our biggest event of the year for prospective families is being held at Camp Ramah on Sunday, July 14th from 10:30 AM-2:00 PM! Campers and parents will be able to tour our facility, and kids will be able to participate in sports, art projects, and more. Take this opportunity to see camp “in action”! Families will have an opportunity to meet with and ask questions of our director, Rabbi Ed Gelb, our Assistant Director, Josh Edelglass, and other members of our senior leadership team, and join us for a delicious lunch.
