Hi! Welcome to tzrif 42! My name is Jess Nassau and I am so excited to be spending my 10th kayitz at Ramah with all of you! I recently completed my freshman year at Washington University in St. Louis where I have been studying psychology and sociology. I can’t wait to enjoy all the super fun activities planned for this kayitz like our machazemer (play) with magshimim, rikud (dancing) and shira (singing) after meals, and our weekly medurot (campfires). I hope that this will be an amazing and memorable kayitz for all of you and I can’t wait to meet you soon!

Hello new Bogrim friends! My name is Talia Harlow. I am really into musical theatre, singing, playing music, and reading. I love hanging out in the nice weather outside, and I love to curl up with a good book. I plan to bring some great books to camp this summer, specifically ones about feminism and cool women that I hope to share with all of you! I am so excited for this kayitz. I am especially excited for celebrating Shabbatot with Shabbat brownies, and spending time and walking outside. This will also be the first summer I’ll be at camp there with the animals in the farm (I wasn’t at camp last summer), so I’m super pumped to meet them because I absolutely LOVE animals! We’re going to have such a fun kayitz, full of feminism, friends, farm animals, fun wake-up playlists, and Shabbat brownies! I can’t wait for the kayitz and I’m so happy to be meeting all of you in just a few weeks! L’hitraot b’Palmer! (See you in Palmer!)

Hi Tzrif 49! My name is Rachel Coll and I am going to be your madrichah (counselor) this kayitz (summer)! I am from the Boston area and just graduated from Gann Academy. Next year I am taking a gap year in Israel, and then I will be going to Tufts University and plan to major in international relations and/or political science! I love wearing fun socks, spending time outdoors, and my favorite food is ice cream (I could eat a whole pint in one sitting). I can’t wait to watch all of you experience the magic of Bogrim. Whether it’s the machazemer (musical), chilling on the Tzad Bet migrash (field), or just listing to Beyoncé while making friendship bracelets in tzrif 49, I know we are going to have a great time. I am so excited to work with all of you to create a kind, thoughtful, and supportive tzrif filled with strong and incredible banot (girls). See you soon!

Shalom chanichot of Tzrif 49! My name is Abigail (or Abby) Gillman, and I will be one of your madrichot for this kayitz! This is my 10th summer at Ramah, and my 1st as a madrichah. I just graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland, and will be spending my next four years at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts (just a half hour drive away from the one and only Machaneh Ramah in Palmer!). Some fun facts about me are that I am obsessed with weird/fun crew socks, and almost exclusively wear them and not other types of socks, I love pizza even though I’m lactose intolerant, and I am a huge nerd and I love reading (if you guys bring books for me to read, I will try to do so, and we can talk about them together!). I am so excited to be your madrichah for this kayitz, because I was also in Tzrif 49 for a summer when I was a chanichah! I hope you are all ready for tons of dance parties, star gazing, bonding with each other (this kayitz is super important for bonding!), and fun hargaot from yours truly (and of course, some special guests). I cannot wait to see you all soon!!

I also traveled after camp for four months in the Central American Continent. It was amazing. My hopes for this summer are that we all will have a fun kayitz together, and that we will make sure that all of camp knows how awesome it is to be in Bogrim 2019. I look forward to meeting you all!

Hi! My name is Netanel Armon, I am from Israel and I am very excited to be on tzevet Bogrim for kayitz 2019!! 🙂 As well as being your madrich I will be on the chavalim (ropes) team and I am very excited for that as well. I was on tzevet a few years ago, and I am so excited to be back!  Most of the year camp is in our dreams, it’s this far-away place where we yearn to be, but soon we’ll be together in the place where we can let go of the regular day-to-day life of all-year-round and just have fun for a month or two. Each one of us has an idea of what camp should be and together I hope we can meet or even surpass our expectations and make kayitz 2019 the best one yet.
