Bogrim at Tarbut Yisraelit

Yesterday, these chanichim (campers) from adat-haBogrim were engaged in a variety of activities with our tireless tzevet Tarbut Yisraelit (Israeli Culture staff).  First, they crafted a colorful art project about Jerusalem, to mark the reunification of the city 50 years ago, in 1967, as well as to mark the imminent observance of Tisha B’Av.

Rosh Rikud (dance) Sarah Rodin worked her magic to get these chanichim up and dancing to old favorites as well as some new pieces.

In Bishul (cooking), Akiva and Shir prepared sfinge with the chanichim (who later consumed it).  Sfinge is a delicious North African fried delicacy.

Batya Green prepared her project about Jerusalem.  She will show a movie about the city and its history, and then the chanichim will need to pair up the various historical events with photographs depicting those events.
