Kayitz 2015 Begins!

It’s been an amazing opening day here at Camp Ramah in New England!  It’s always a huge joy to see the smiles on the faces of our hanichim (campers) and their horim (parents) as old friends reunite and new friends join our community for the very first time.  We had a BBQ lunch and carnival this morning (a thunderstorm at 11 AM only put a halt to festivities for a short while!) and all afternoon our hanichim have been enjoying fun peulot tzrif (bunk activities) and peulot edah (division activities) with their counselors.  Everyone is getting to know their bunk-mates and, for new hanichim, learning their way around camp.  In less than thirty minutes Tzad Aleph (A-Side) will enjoy a festive opening-night aruchat erev (dinner) — Hawaiian-themed!

What a delight it is to have our community back together for another summer!  It’s going to be amazing!!
