Kochavim Daled Madrich Introductions!

Our Kochavim madrichim (counselors) are excited to meet all of our hanichim (campers) on Tuesday!!

Tzrif 13:

HI KOCHAVIM! My name is Emma Gelb, and I cannot wait to be your madricha (counselor) this kayitz (summer)!! A little bit about me: I am from Sharon, Massachusetts, this is my fourth time being a counselor in Kochavim, and I just finished my second year of college where I am studying to become a teacher. I love singing, dancing, art, animals, and Disney music. This kayitz is going to be so much fun! While pretty much everything is going to be amazing, I can’t wait to have medurot (bonfires) and do lots of shira and rikud (singing and dancing) with you all! I am so excited to get to meet you all in just a few weeks! Camp is going to be so amazing (-:

Shalom Tzrif 13! My name is Devira Friedman and I’m beyond excited to be one of your madrichot (counselors) this kayitz! I spent eight amazing summers at camp as a chanicha (camper) and I am having so much fun this year, my first year on staff. I am from Chevy Chase, Maryland, but starting in the fall I will be living in New York City attending Barnard College. My favorite parts of camp are omanut (art), basketball, and singing on Shabbat. I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you! We are going to have an amazing kayitz!!!

Hi! My name is Dara Hechter and I am really excited to be working with you this kayitz (summer) in Kochavim! I live in Connecticut where I just finished my last year of high school. I love to code, read, and explore the outdoors. I love animals and in my free time I work on a farm and plant etzim (trees). I can’t wait to be a on your tzevet (staff) this kayitz, and have new, fun, experiences together!

Tzrif 10:

Hi everyone! My name is Ariel Malkan.  I’m 22 years old, and I’m from Ra’anana, Israel. I like to read books and work out. I really like to train in kung fu — like in Kung Fu Panda (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXi3Mv6KMzY), but don’t worry, I’m nicer than the master! Kung fu has cool technics, and I would love to teach so some moves!  (Safely of course). I made a list of some songs that I would like to teach you guys… and I would love to learn from you guys some songs too! I’m looking forward to meet you all this kayitz!  We are going to have a lot of fun together at camp.

Howdy howdy Tzrif 10! My name is Zach Leventhal, and I’m super excited to be spending this kayitz (summer) with all of you!  I am 18 years old and come from Olney, Maryland. I’ve gone to Ramah for eight years – seven at Palmer and one on Ramah Israel Seminar. This year will be my first as a madrich (counselor), and I will also be an archery instructor. I’ll start school at Carnegie Mellon University this fall, with plans to study economics and mathematics. I really like singing (especially at camp!) and playing games like Chess and Scrabble. I hope you’re as pumped as I am for Kochavim, and I can’t wait for an incredible kayitz!
