Krav Maga: Kochavim and Ilanot
Yair Rechavi, our Krav Maga instructor, has a black belt in Krav Maga. He put the Kochavim and Ilanot chug (elective) participants through their paces. He is training our chanichim in the various moves — both offensive and defensive — as well as the discipline and awareness that Krav Maga demands. Yair learned Krav Maga before he entered the army, and now works fulltime in Israel teaching Krav Maga.
And here is Yair in another context, with his chanichim in adat-HaShoafim:
Krav Maga is a military self-defense and fighting system developed for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that derived from a combination of techniques sourced from boxing, wrestling, aikido, judo and karate, along with realistic fight training. Krav Maga is known for its focus on real-world situations and its extreme efficiency. Krav Maga has a philosophy emphasizing simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers.
