We are delighted to announce that five returning inclusion counselors have been selected to participate in the Mannis Inclusion Fellowship Program.  The Mannis Foundation (mannisfoundation.org), founded by learning specialist Rebecca Mannis, PhD, has awarded Camp Ramah in New England a grant to support advanced training of counselors working with campers with special needs.

The five fellows, Tali Mandelkern, David Cohen, Mike Krulee, Seth Golob and Gavin Sidman, have been identified as leaders who will be able to share their increased knowledge of children with special needs with their colleagues.  The fellows meet each week under the direction of inclusion specialist, Elizabeth Chipkin.  Fellows have begun discussing such topics as individual learning styles, school accommodations and modifications, and IEPs, and they recently viewed and discussed the 1978 film, “Try Another Way.”
