Meet Rosh Shoafim 2010: Rami Schwartzer!

Shalom Machaneh Ramah! My name is Rami Schwartzer, and I am very
excited to be Rosh Shoafim for kayitz 2010! Originally from West Hartford, CT, I have been
living in New York City for the past four years as a student in a dual B.A.
program at the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University. In
December, I will be completing my degrees in Talmud & Rabbinics at JTS and
Philosophy at Columbia. In the meantime, I am very excited to be back in Palmer for my eighth summer at
Ramah! Previously, I have been a counselor both on Tzad Aleph and
in the Tikvah program, as well as an educator on tzevet hinuch,
with a one-summer hiatus during which I led a six-week teen tour through Spain and Israel. I am a lover of
music, particularly jazz, reflecting my past life playing trumpet in my high
school jazz band. If I'm not enjoying a run or a hike in the great
outdoors, you can find me engrossed in a book or catching up on pop culture in
the wonderful world of Netflix's instant streaming feature.
