Opening Day: Amitzim visits the Animals!

Amidst the drizzle, these chanichim (campers) from adat-haAmitzim enjoyed a great time learning about and interacting with the many animals in our expanded and renovated Pinat Teva (nature corner).  We are proud to house chickens, ducks, goats and sheep.  Under the guidance of Rabbi Joshua Ackerman of our Tzevet Limud (Education staff), they learned how to touch the animals gently, as well as information about each animal such as what noises they make and what food they eat.  Each chanich began to develop their comfort level with the animals.  It was a great peula (activity) to start the kayitz (summer) and to get to know the other chanichim and madrichim (counselors).
