Praying With Lior

Yesterday, the whole camp watched the movie, "Praying With Lior" and then had an opportunity to talk about it with director and producer, Ilana Trachtman.  Our camp is already a place where campers interact with kids of special needs and see them as critical parts of the community.  Still, this movie proves once again that everyone created in God’s image can impact the world. 

Tisha Ba’av went smoothly.  The weather was not too hot and those choosing to fast had an easier time.  Our kitchen staff stayed up late to serve an excellent break the fast meal.  The kids take Tisha Ba’av seriously and they remember it when they grow up.  There was a wonderful exhibit/museum on the history of the day that some of our great counselors and mishlachat put together.
