Our very own Yishai Barth (Machon 2011) was in the news recently:
Not much can stop Yishai Barth, but when the computer outfitted for his unique special needs was stolen, so too was his ability to read and write.
He’d forgotten the laptop at school, and when he went back – it was gone.
“It’s a combination of three programs that allows me to speak into my computer and have my computer speak back to me. I literally almost have conversations with my computer and get tasks done. What I’ve been doing is independently performing academic tasks for the first time in my life, I’ve been able to access social media,” said Barth.
It was social media to the rescue.
