Shoafim “It’s a Good Life” Chug’s Ramah T-shirt Scavenger Hunt!

On Friday afternoon, the “It’s a Good Life” Chug members from adat ha-Shoafim gathered on the Beit Am Aleph mirpesset for a fast-paced Ramah T-Shirt Scavenger Hunt!  I spread out a ton of Ramah t-shirts from the past two decades, that I had pulled from my “archives.”  The kids divided into two kvutzot (groups), and everyone had a mispar (number).  I’d call a mispar, and then call out something they needed to find on a t-shirt.  Examples included: a globe, the old “burning bush” Ramah logo, a reference to the “It’s a Good Life” chug, an owl, a frisbee, a super-hero, Carmen Sandiego, a reference to Shoafim, a kochav (star), a briefcase, etc., etc.  (It was sort of like “steal the afikomen” except with camp t-shirts!)

At the end, I had another gift from the “archives” to give to the winning team: leftover floppy frisbees from the 2003 Yovel (Jubilee) celebration!  Since the two kvutzot battled to a draw, everyone got a frisbee!  Here’s a photo of Shoafim madricha (counselor) and former “Good Life” chug member Sarah B., who noticed that I had her Ilanot t-shirt in the game, from back when she was a younger chanicha (camper) on Tzad Aleph (A-Side)!
