Shoafim: The Right Time and the Right Place

Ari White-Pincus, a Shoafim chanich (camper), wrapped tefillin and had an Aliya — both for the first time — here at our machane (camp).  He was able — and chose — to observe these mitzvot right when he became a Bar Mitzva, on his 13th Hebrew birthday.  What a beautiful setting, on the mirpeset (porch) overlooking the agam (lake)!  It was the right time and the right place for this celebratory moment.  Mazel Tov!
