Solelim at Cafe Ramah

This year at Camp Ramah, our Ivrit/Hebrew classes are becoming more experiential with the introduction of the Cafe Ramah. Some campers are the meltzarim/waiters, wearing their aprons and carrying notebooks to write down the orders.

Some campers are the lokachim/customers, who use menus to order their food. Each “customer” has the opportunity to have a short conversation with their fellow customers. And of course, everything happens in Ivrit!

This morning I had the opportunity to join Solelim as they had their first experience with the Cafe Ramah. It was a pleasure to watch them interact in Hebrew, wearing all their cool gear and helping each other learn. Check out these awesome pictures of the Cafe in action.
