Tzrif 1

Hello!!! Shalom!!! My name is Jacob Cannon, and I am extremely excited to meet all of you soon! I live in the state of Maryland and will be attending the University of Maryland this fall. This is my 9th kayitz (summer) at camp, and I’m super hyped to spend it with all of you! I’m looking forward to being at Ramah for Shabbat, and also to get back on the Alpine Tower, a crazy climbing challenge. Camp is truly an amazing place with awesome people. I look forward to being around if you need anything during your time at camp, and I can’t wait to help guide you through this journey we’re taking together!  See you in tzrif (bunk) 1!

Hey everyone! My name is Gabe Stillman and I’m super pumped to spend the kayitz (summer) with you all! My hobbies include Ultimate Frisbee, rock climbing, and playing piano and guitar. I also love video games, and am a huge Washington Capitals hockey fan. I’ve been at Ramah for 6 years as a chanich (camper) and am so excited to show you all the amazing things this place offers. Hi tzrif (bunk) 1! My name is Aaron, and I’m super stoked to be your madrich (counselor) this kayitz (summer)! I grew up in Sharon, MA, but my family just recently moved to Providence, RI. Next fall I’ll be attending The University of the Arts as a dance major. This is my eighth kayitz at camp, and I can’t wait to get to know you all, spend Shabbat together, have fun at medurot (campfires), and much more! I hope you are as excited for this kayitz as I am!

Tzrif 7

Hey tzrif (bunk) 7, I’m Danny Koenig, and I’m thrilled to be one of your madrichim (counselors) this kayitz (summer)! This will be my eighth summer at camp since 2011 when I was in Ilanot, and my first summer as a madrich. For fun, I play soccer, basketball, tennis, and ultimate frisbee. I also play the clarinet, and enjoy spending time outside with my friends. At camp, I played on the Roo ultimate frisbee team and always enjoyed yom sport (color war). I’m looking forward to spending shabbatot at camp, our visit to Six Flags, and personally getting to know each one of you. I can’t wait to be a part of your amazing kayitz ahead!

Shalom everyone! My name is Gideon Molkner, I live in San Diego, and I will be starting my freshman year of college at the University of Maryland this fall. This is my 8th kayitz (summer) going to camp, and I could not be happier that I’m working in such a great edah (division) — Solelim! I love to play just about every sport, as well as card games. I’m super excited to go kayaking in the agam, climb the alpine tower, meet each and every one of you, and of course go to Six Flags. Solelim was one of my favorite summers at camp, and I can’t wait to be there with all of you as you experience it for yourselves!

Hey Solelim, I’m Ben Avrahami and I’ll be your מדריך/madrich (counselor),  this summer. I’m coming to camp Ramah straight from Israel to have the most fun, incredible and exciting קיץ\summer with you. I’m so excited to get to know you all, have many fun פעולות\activities, and play lots of sports.  Let’s make this summer an unforgettable one.  Lhitraot b’Palmer!  (See you soon, in Palmer!)

Shalom!!!! My name is Dora Mendelson and I can’t wait to be your madricha (counselor) this kayitz (summer). This is my tenth summer at camp and I can’t wait to spend it with you all. I graduated from The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Maryland in February, and I just spent three months with my grade traveling throughout Israel. This fall I’ll be starting as a freshman at Colgate University, where I’ll be studying Peace and Conflict Resolution (I’ll be making sure you all get along!!!). I love shira (singing), rikud (dance) parties, and mac ‘n cheese. We’re going to have so much kef (fun) this summer, and I can’t wait to meet all of you soon!!!!

Shalom Tzrif 33!  My name is Alyssa Edelheit and I am so excited to meet all of you so soon!  This is my 9th kayitz (summer) at Machane (Camp) Ramah, and my first year as a madricha (counselor)! I am from Glastonbury, CT and will be attending George Washington University in DC next year, where I will be studying international relations. I love to run, bike, travel, and cook. I am so excited for all of our peulot (activities) and getting to know each and every one of you throughout the summer. Camp has always been such a fun place for me and I can’t wait to share these positive experiences with all of you!

Hi! My name is Kathrin Prost and I’m 21 years old.  I am so excited to be your madricha this kayitz! I live in Holon, Israel. I’m a swimming instructor; I mainly teach kids from 5-12 years old. I love my job! This summer I am going to be working on tzevet agam as a swimming instructor too, in addition to being your madricha! I’m very excited to be part of tzevet Solelim this kayitz (summer) and spending my summer at camp!! This is going to be my first time in the USA and in an American summer camp. Hey tzrif (bunk) 35! My name is Jessie Lehman and I’m beyond excited to be your madricha (counselor) this kayitz (summer). This is my 9th kayitz at Machane (Camp) Ramah, and my first year as a madricha! I am from Potomac, MD and will be attending Tulane University in New Orleans next year where I plan to study sociology. You can always find me dancing around my house, playing volleyball, or talking about how much I love camp. I can’t wait to meet and get to know each of you soon, and to have the best kayitz ever, together!

Dear Hanichim (campers) of tzrif 35 — Hi!  My name is Ari Cooper. I am so excited to meet you all soon! I’ve been counting the days until camp for the last few months, as camp is my absolute favorite time of year!!! A little about me… I just finished my first year at an art college called SCAD in Savannah, Georgia. I’m so excited to do omanut (art) with you. This is my 7th kayitz (summer) at Machane Ramah, and my second kayitz as a madricha in Solelim. I LOVE SOLELIM!!!! I can’t wait to share some of my favorite peulot (activities) with you like rikud (dancing), Shabbat, Boker Tzrif (special activities with our bunk), Six Flags, and so much more. Hi tzrif 35! I’m Devasha Solomon, and I’m super excited to be one of your madrichot (counselors) this kayitz (summer). This kayitz is my seventh in Palmer, and I spent last kayitz in Israel with Ramah Israel Seminar. I love reading (especially fantasy books) and theater. I live in the Boston area, and I’m going to Bryn Mawr College in the fall. A few things I’m especially looking forward to this kayitz are: Shabbat, medurot (camp fires), and getting to know all of you. Get ready to have the best kayitz ever!!
