One of the Kishroniyah electives for our Tzad Bet campers last week was designing and painting an outdoor mural on this summer's theme – Journey.

Over the course of a mere five days, campers conceived the idea for the mural, prepped the boards, roughed out the design and painted it.

The result is stunning. Hidden in the panels is a great deal of symbolism. Aspects of camp which are near and dear to campers are featured, and there are several layers of meaning in the final artwork.

Here the campers explain some of the thoughts behind the art.

You can see the artwork close up in these photos of the indivudual panels.

The project was led by Tova Speter, an artist and art educator who has over ten years of experience building community mural projects both locally and internationally.

The mural will be housed in a custom-made frame and displayed at the entrance to Camp Ramah. Look out for it when you next visit us.
