Tikvah Etgar!

Over intersession, Tikvah went on our overnight camping trip called Etgar, meaning challenge. We started the day at the museum and went to our camp site to explore the nature and our surroundings. We cooked dinner and had a great medurah (campfire) together where we made s’mores, sang our favorite camp songs and played games. The energy and enthusiasm could be felt throughout the entire forest where we were sleeping. We put up tents and went to bed and even made it through some rain! In the morning we had t’filot outside and an oatmeal breakfast buffet. We split up into fishing, boating and swimming/hiking groups. Where we were staying was great for a variety of activities. After the different groups split up, we came back together to pack up our stuff and head to a farm. At the farm we went on a hayride, saw many animals and enjoyed a sweet treat of ice cream. Taking the members of the Tikvah program on an overnight like this is an experience we the tzevet (staff) and the chanichim (campers) will never forget!
