Tikvah Trip – We had the best time ever!

Last Wednesday, all of Tikvah – Mini-Amitzim, Amitzim, Voc Ed Ma’avar, and Voc Ed – left camp for an extraordinary day of fun and adventure! First, we headed to the Majestic Theater in West Springfield, MA, where we saw a stage production of Mulan! Many of our campers reported that it seemed like a Broadway show. After the performance, we were beyond excited to have the opportunity to meet the cast, get their autographs, and have pictures taken with the crew! Our group was extremely appreciative and helped the cast to feel like true celebrities. After that, we got back on the bus and headed to Amherst College where we had a picnic lunch and visited the Beneski Museum of Natural History. The museum houses fossils, rocks, dinosaur bones, as well as skeletons of Ice Age animals. It also contains the world’s largest collection of dinosaur footprints! The educators at the museum did a fantastic job of acting out and telling the stories of the dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in a way that our campers could understand, as well as engaging them in interactive activities. Afterwards, we headed back on the bus and drove to Herrell’s, the famous ice cream shop in Northampton! Scoops, sprinkles, and shakes, were enjoyed by all!
