Tzad Aleph kicks off The Evelyn Games!

Today marked the beginning of the Evelyn Dragat Rubenstein Memorial Shavua (Week) of Tzrif (Bunk) Competition, colloquially known as The Evelyn Games! Throughout this week each tzrif (bunk) on tzad aleph (A Side) will compete in a series of events for pride, glory and t-shirts! The competition is based on the legendary figure Evelyn Dragat Rubenstein, the founder of Camp Ramah. Tonight, the chanichim (campers) competed in the Evelyn Derby, an event comprised of 19 mini events all worth up to five points. Each tzrif (bunk) spent a hectic 45 minutes running around attempting to accomplish as many events as possible, to the best of their abilities. Events included finger painting an Israeli flag, Evelyn trivia, and pin the broach on the Evelyn. There will be at least one event per day each day this week, culminating in the announcement of the winners on Friday.
