Today, tzad aleph (A side) enjoyed Yom Yisrael (Israel day), a yom ragil (regular day) filled with fun Israel themed activities! Each edah (division) started out the day with different Israel themed t’filot run by Israeli tzevet (staff) members, followed by Israeli music at aruchat boker (breakfast). Throughout the day, Israeli miktzoim (specialty staff) brought an extra flavor of Israel to all of their prakim (periods). Right after lunch, we made a human Israeli flag which was photographed from above.

During our bechirot (free time), tzad aleph chanichim (A side campers) enjoyed many different options. Chanichim (campers) played taki (an Israeli card game), tie-dyed using blue dye, created blue and white omanut (art) projects, baked and ate pitot with za’atar (Israeli spices), listened to stories from Yehuda Gubani, danced to rikudei am (Israeli dancing) and played matkot (paddleball)!
