Voc Ed Week One

As we said havdallah earlier this evening, we brought both Shabbat and the first week of camp to a close. This past week Voc Ed participated in job exploration programming, and began to settle into the routine of camp. The Voc Eders explored their strengths, interests, and dreams, had mock interviews, built resumes, and visited job sites. Tomorrow, they will begin their official work placements.

Everyone is very excited to begin work, and their impact on the camp community will certainly be felt as they set up the dining hall, deliver mail and packages, bake delicious cakes and cookies, pass out programming supplies, assist with children’s activities, and much more.

This week, we also look forward to our first day off trip, the annual camp wide trip to six flags. Be on the lookout for some great photos, including our first Shabbat picture here!
