Welcome Tarbut Yisraelit! Etz Chayim, with Bogrim

We welcome our new tzevet (staff) to Tarbut Yisraelit (Israeli culture) for Second Session.

Akiva Harris, Rosh Tarbut Yisraelit (photo below), lives in the Jerusalem neighborhood Arnona.  He works for UlpanOr,  where he serves as External Relations Coordinator.  He also works as a mediator in civil cases. He is seen in the above photo with chanichim (campers) from adat-haBogrim.  In the background is the colorful art-in-progress Etz Chayim that involves the entire Palmer community.  This Etz Chayim includes the “roots” of each chanich’s Judaism; “leaves”  on which each chanich writes their ancestral homeland; and the “fruit”  represents all of the ways in which the chanich will practice and enhance their Judaism.

Batya Green (photo below) lives on Moshav Asseret in the south, and runs a school that serves the entire area with tutoring services.

Vered Finkelstein (photo below) lives in Tel Aviv and works for the Ministry of Education as an inspector for extra-curricular offerings around the entire Tel Aviv district.
