Last night we had our first event of the year celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Camp Ramah in New England!  Ramahniks young and old gathered in West Hartford, CT, for a fantastic evening!

As the night began, kids and adults mingled and enjoyed our bazaar of food, games, and Ramah history.  People participated in our poll questions (“What’s your favorite meal at camp?”  “What  as your favorite Yom Meyuchad at camp?”), competed in Ramah trivia, made s’mores, created 60th Anniversary shrinky-dinks, browsed our exhibit of Ramah t-shirts from over the years, and more.  Then we moved into the auditorium, where Rabbi Gelb, Rabbi David Small, and long-time Ramahnik Emily Weiser (Niv ’12) spoke.  We also showed a three-part 60th anniversary video, with clips from video yearbooks stretching back 25 years, as well as a number of new interviews with Ramahniks talking about how their summers at Camp Ramah in New England changed their lives.

Todah Rabbah to long-time Ramahnik (and my Nivonim Rosh Edah!) Rabbi Elliot Goldberg and the Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford for hosting the event!
