A Complimentary Family Weekend for Bereaved Children 

November 7-9, 2025

A welcoming, inclussing and egalitarian Jewish retreat for families whose children have lost a parent. This weekend will combine a joyful Shabbat celebration and traditional camp fun with grief education and emotional support for each member of the family. The program is designed for families with children ages 6-17.  

Camp Ramah Sasson extends an open invitation to Jewish families whose children are grieving a parent.

This weekend is free of charge to all participating families.

Eligibility Guidelines?
  • Open and free of charge to children and their guardians who have lost a parent.
  • This program is designed for families with children ages 6-17.
  • Completed registrations will be reviewed as they are submitted.
What to Expect

What you can look forward to:

  • Energetic and joyous Shabbat.
  • Camp adventures, sports, fitness, art and more.
  • Age appropriate bereavement education and support activities/discussions for each member of the family.
  • Innovative Jewish learning.
  • Healthy, delicious and kosher chef-prepared meals.

This experience will begin with lunch on Friday and conclude after lunch on Sunday.

Accommodations

All families will be housed in rustic but fully winterized and heated accommodations. Housing will be assigned to best meet the needs of each family and allow Camp Ramah Sasson to include as many families as possible.
