A large group of people, mostly wearing blue or green t-shirts, pose together outdoors under a decorative arch in a wooded area, smiling for a group photo. Children and adults are mixed throughout the group.

August Family Camp

Wednesday, August 19 – Sunday, August 23, 2026

A man stands on grass with a young girl in a purple dress in front of him. Another young girl, wearing a blue shirt, sits on his shoulders with her arms stretched out and smiling. Trees and a house are in the background.   A young child in a blue Rimah Family Camp shirt and cap feeds grass to a white horse through a wooden fence on a sunny day, with green trees in the background.   A group of children and a few adults sit and stand around a campfire, roasting marshmallows on sticks, with trees in the background and someone playing guitar.

Family camp has it all – amazing food, amazing programs for kids and adults, and an opportunity to relax!

We loved our experience at family camp! Our toddlers thrived in an environment where they could be independent and explore new activities, and we grown ups really appreciated the chance to be fully present with our kids and the other families in attendance. What a blessing it was to paddle out on a canoe together, roast marshmallows around a bonfire, and spend a day celebrating Shabbat outdoors in community!

August Family Camp Packing List

Accommodations

Standard Bunk

A row of colorful, hand-painted posters and signs is displayed high on a beige wall beneath a white, vaulted wooden ceiling. The posters feature various designs, text, and artwork.

This is the classic rustic camp experience! You’ll be staying in one of our regular camper bunks. The only difference is, you’ll have it all to yourself! Each family, no matter how big or small, will have an entire bunk to themselves. You’ll notice there’s lots of room, and you probably won’t use the whole thing. That’s okay, enjoy it!

Details

  • Rustic private bathroom with 2 toilets, 2 showers, and 2 sinks – indoors. (We don’t have any “shower houses” at Ramah).
  • Electricity, including overhead lights and plenty of outlets
  • Camp-style bunk beds.
  • No heating or air conditioning – we will provide fans and recommend that you bring layers to wear at night; it could get chilly!

K’far Nivonim

A spacious cabin room with high ceilings, multiple wooden bunk beds, bookshelves, and windows with curtains, letting in natural light.

This is the “village” where our oldest campers live during the summer. The K’far (village) has 2 buildings, each with 4 sleeping rooms and 2 large, shared bathrooms. Each family will be assigned a room to themselves (normally sleeps 10-12 campers), as well as access to a large shared bathroom.

Details

  • Shared bathroom with 1-2 other families. Each bathroom includes 4 toilets, 4 showers, and plenty of sinks.
  • 6 Camp-style bunk beds (in each room)
  • Electricity, including overhead lights and plenty of outlets
  • Fully winterized facility, including heat and air ventilation but not air conditioning. We will provide fans.

Tikvah Bunks

A dormitory room with wooden floors, several metal bunk beds with blue and green bedding, wooden shelves, posters on the walls, maroon curtains on the windows, and a trash can with a broom in the foreground. A simple room with two metal-frame single beds with green mattresses, wooden floor, shelves on the left wall, and a window with a dark curtain letting in some daylight.

These are similar to traditional camper bunks, except they have heat, air conditioning, and handicap accessible bathrooms. These bunks are still rustic so you can enjoy the experience of being a camper. Each family, no matter how big or small, will have an entire bunk to themselves. You’ll notice there’s lots of room, and you probably won’t use the whole thing. That’s okay, enjoy it!

Details

  • Rustic private handicap accessible bathroom with 2 toilets, 2 showers, and 2 sinks indoors. (We don’t have any “shower houses” at Ramah).
  • Electricity, including overhead lights and plenty of outlets
  • 2 “staff” rooms, each with 2 twin beds
  • 1 queen bed and camp-style bunk beds in the main cabin
  • Fully winterized facility, including heat and air conditioning

Voc-Ed Building – New Wing

A bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed, both with green bedding. There are two empty bookshelves, wood-accented windows, and grey wood flooring. The walls are light grey and a wall-mounted air conditioner is visible. A cozy room with yellow walls, wooden furniture, blue upholstered couches, a round wooden table with chairs, large windows letting in sunlight, and a ceiling fan above.

Opened in 2023, this is our newest housing facility at camp!! This family style building has 4 newly constructed individual rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a lounge space shared by both Voc-Ed building wings.
