The Summer Begins!

At 10 AM this morning it was my great pleasure to have been standing at the entrance of Camp Ramah in New England, waving to all of the smiling parents, grandparents, and kids as our families drove excitedly into camp.  Kayitz (summer) 2011 is off and running!  It's a gorgeous summer day here in Palmer, and we've already had a ton of fun today as campers and parents unpacked and enjoyed our big opening day carnival, replete with giant inflatable obstacle-courses, omanut (arts and crafts) projects, pita-making, some cotton candy and ices to enhance our buffet lunch, singing, dancing, and lots more.  We already have over a hundred photos posted on our web-site, so current Ramah families can take a look here (the site is password-protected).  For everyone else, here's a taste of Opening Day, kayitz 2011!
