Kochavim First Day of Mini Session Dalet

Yesterday, we welcomed our new mini session dalet chanichim (campers)! We were so excited to meet everyone in our tzrifim (bunks) and edah. We had a great time getting to know each other! As our chanichim arrived, we played gaga and frisbee. We also had face painting and enjoyed popsicles. After lunch, we had a peulat tzrif (bunk activity) to get know one another. We then came together as an edah to play Jeopardy: Madrichim Edition in which all the questions were about the madrichim (counselors) so that our chanichim could get to know their tzevet (staff). After jeopardy, we competed in a series of silly games. Our chanichim really enjoyed getting to know each other during these peulot (activities). We then made a sderot hakochavim (avenue of stars) like the Hollywood Walk of Stars. We all put our hand prints on a banner, which looks amazing. We then took a tour of camp in order to get to know camp a little better. We ended our tour in the chadar ohel (dining hall) for a tour of the chadar so that our chanichim knew where to find the different food options at meals. After our fun day, we joined all of tzad aleph for a barbeque. We had a great day and are so excited for the rest of the summer!
