Tov Li Capital Campaign Construction Updates!

February 25, 2026 Update

Ramah New England is one of the few camps selected to receive funding from Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) as part of their Gottesman Capital Expansion Grant and the Yashar: Skill Training Initiative. With the help of these grants, added to YOUR generous donations totaling close to 6 millions dollars, we are on track to open our new Health Center (Marp) and Art Center for THIS summer, Kayitz 2026!

Pictured: Exterior framing of the new Marp, windows are going in, and interior finishes have begun.

We are making incredible progress on the new Marp (infirmary) thanks to the tremendous support from the Gottesman Grant! With the second story now completed, the entire building’s framing is done. The trusses are up and the roof is really taking shape!

The new modern space will allow us to treat our growing camp population more efficiently and effectively. With the addition of eight patient rooms, we will have the ability to treat campers separately and limit the spread of illness throughout camp. The center will attract and house medical professionals to ensure we are able to provide the best care for our campers and staff. Additionally, in the off season, it will add 16 retreat rooms and allow us to expand our capacity for year-round programs. We are eagerly watching this building take shape and are excited for it to provide incredible care for our camp community for years to come.

As part of this capital campaign, the Yashar: Skill Training Initiative grant is also supporting the renovation of our old infirmary into dedicated staff housing. To grow our staff support program and expand training opportunities, we need eight additional staff rooms. This expansion will help us meet our participation goals, especially within our staff support programs for young adults with disabilities.

Our renovations on the Beit Am Bet are transforming the space into a beautiful Art Center for summer and year round use. The new metal roof has installed, and the interior renovations have begun. We are excited to be able to offer all our incredible art programs under one roof. As one of our strongest specialty areas, the space will be a center for innovation and creativity and will create an amazing entry point into Judaism for our campers and staff. We are looking forward to providing campers with a space where their creative joy can be sparked.

November 14, 2025 Update

In November, the foundation is was poured and completed. We hope to be fully enclosed in the next few weeks. We are eager to see this building take shape and provide incredible care to our camp community for years to come.

Additionally, our renovation of the Bet Am Bet into a spectacular arts center is beginning with much needed work on the roof. We are finalizing a few of the interior design details and then it will be full steam ahead. We are looking forward to a new space where our campers’ creativity can take flight.

We are currently working on the first phase of transforming the Beit Am Beit into the new Mercaz Omanut (Art Center). The initial steps of laying the foundation of the new Marp are almost complete. Our new Marp will be located right next to the new Mercaz Omanut. The old Marp will turn into adult staff and year-round retreat housing. The new Marp is scheduled to open in time for Kayitz 2026! Utility site work is taking place as well in order to support the new projects and infrastructure changes.
