Tzrif 81

Hey hey, Tzrif 81! My name is Lily Jacobson and I will be one of your madrichot (counselors) this kayitz! I am 19 years old and live right outside of Washington, D.C. in Bethesda, Maryland. I am a rising sophomore at The University of Rochester where I am double majoring in Psychology and Brain & Cognitive Science. This will be my 9th kayitz at machane Ramah and my second one working with Amitzim. I love animals, tie-dye, playing sports, listening to music and cooking. We are going to have the best kayitz ever, full of swimming in the agam (lake), lots of arts and crafts, awesome peulot (activities) and endless dance parties and laughs! I am beyond excited to be your madricha and can’t wait to meet all of you very soon!

Hey Hey Amitzim! I’m Rachelli Oxman and I’m super excited to be one of your madrichot (counselors) this kayitz (summer). This is my 10th kayitz at the machane (camp), fourth on tzevet (staff) , and second on tzevet amitzim. I live in Zichron Yaakov, Israel during the year, but I’ve lived all over the place, including New York, Maine, Massachusetts, and California. I love baking, doing puzzles, dancing, and wearing socks with my sandals. I can’t wait to see you all this kayitz!!

Hey, Tzrif 82! I’m Eliana Bazer and I’m so excited to be one of your madrichot (counselors) this summer! I’m from Framingham, Massachusetts and I just finished up my first year at the University of Rochester. This kayitz is my 11th summer at Ramah, and my second year working as a madricha (counselor), and I’m so excited to spend it with all of you! I love drawing, gymnastics, medurot (bonfires), and baking. This summer we will have an awesome time swimming and boating in the agam (lake), meeting new friends, going on fun trips, and doing lots of singing and dancing! I can’t wait to see you all very soon!!

Shalom! My name is Hannah Pliskin and I’m from West Hartford, Connecticut. I’m 19 and just finished my first year at UConn (GO HUSKIES)! This is my 9th kayitz (summer) at camp, my 2nd on staff, and my 1st with Amitzim. I am SO excited to spend this kayitz in the most amazing edah at camp! I can’t wait to swim in the agam (lake) and put on an awesome machazemer (play) with you. Some fun facts about me are that I’m a twin, but we look nothing alike, and I love dogs so be prepared to show me pictures of any pets you have. Only a few more weeks until the best kayitz ever, I hope you’re just as excited as I am! Can’t wait to meet you all!

Hi! I’m Rena Edery. I went to camp and loved every minute. In addition to being your madricha (counselor), I’ll also be working at the agam for a few prakim (periods) a day. I love running, cookies, and really good throwback music. I’m going to University of Maryland in the fall but I’m so excited to spend my last summer before college at the best place on earth with all of you guys! Can’t wait to meet you and show you how awesome camp is!

Tzrif 83

Hey Tzrif 83 — My name is Max Stravitz. I am 18 years old and a recent graduate of the Charles E Smith Jewish Day School. This kayitz/summer is my sixth at Machane/camp Ramah in New England (I started in Magshimim ’14) and my second kayitz as a Madrich/counselor.  I already know it is going to be the best kayitz yet. I am unbelievably excited for our kayitz as I’m sure it’ll be filled with loads of keph/fun. I’m looking forward to swimming in the agam/lake whenever I can, singing during tefillot/prayers, and shira/rikud (singing/dancing) sessions after aruchot/meals. I look forward to seeing you on the first day of the kayitz!

Hey Amitim! My name is Jacob Schwartz. I’m 18 years old, I’m from Rockville MD, and I will be attending the University of Maryland in the fall. I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, and listening to music. Machane Ramah is my favorite place in the whole world. At camp I love to swim in the agam (lake), play basketball in the Beit Am Gadol, and make arts in crafts in Omanut. I’m so excited I can hardly wait to meet all my hanichim (campers) and have the best kayitz ever!

Hi tzrif 83! My name is Alex Petshaft and I’ll be your madrich (counselor) this kayitz (summer). This is my 4th kayitz as an Amitzim counselor and my 8th kayitz at camp. I am currently attending Western Connecticut State University studying music and audio production where I play French Horn and learn how to produce music in a studio. I just finished my junior year and will be heading into my senior year of university. I am very excited to be coming back to Amitzim this kayitz and cannot wait to see everyone, it is going to be an incredible kayitz and a wonderful time in tzrif (bunk) 83.

Hey there Tzrif 84! I’m Joey Shoyer. I’m 19 and I’m from Chevy Chase, MD. I’m studying Computer Science at the University of Michigan where I love to play lots of Ultimate Frisbee, go to football games, and hang out with friends. This is my twelfth summer at camp, and my second summer with Amitzim. I can’t wait for this kayitz at camp! I’m excited to be back with the best edah (division) in Palmer! I’m looking forward to swimming in the agam (lake), doing shira and rikud (singing and dancing), and making new friends all around Ramah. I can’t wait to see you all and for the best summer ever!

Hi Amitzim! I’m Jacob Mannes and I’m so excited to be a madrich (counselor) for you this kayitz (summer). I’m 18 and live in Rockville, Maryland. I just graduated from CESJDS and I will be attending the University of Maryland in the fall. This is my seventh kayitz at camp and my first full kayitz on staff. I love drawing, listening to music, hiking, and playing ultimate frisbee. I can’t wait for tefilot (prayers), rikud (dancing), swimming in the agam (lake), and the amazing kayitz this will be!

Hey Amitzim! My name is Isaac Gelb and I’m so excited to be your madrich this kayitz. I just finished my senior year at JDS and I’ll be a freshman at Bowdoin College this fall. My favorite sport is hockey and I’m a HUGE Washington Capitals fan, but I also like playing volleyball, basketball, frisbee, and other sports. Outside of sports, I love relaxing by listening to music and drawing. I can’t wait to get back to camp and do lots of omanut (art), throw frisbees on the migrash (field), and splash around in the agam (lake) (especially on hot days). Camp is about to begin and I’m sure it’s going to be an amazing kayitz!
