We’re excited to announce our 2026 hanhallah (leadership team)!

Emma.croppedKochavim (current 2nd & 3rd graders) — Hey Kochavim! My name is Emma Gelb, and I am so excited to be your Rosh Kochavim this kayitz (summer)! This is going to be my twenty-first year at camp, and I can’t wait to spend it with you! Kochavim is the best edah in all of camp, which is probably why this will be my eleventh year working in it! We’re going to have so much fun together, from singing and dancing to chugim (electives) and more; it’s going to be the best kayitz ever! Camp is truly the best place in the world, which is why I am so grateful to work at camp all year round — it’s the best! When I’m not working, I love photography, working with foster kids, all things Taylor Swift, reading, and anything crafty.

Shir 01.croppedIlanot (current 4th graders) — Hi Ilanot! I’m Shir Gurtenberg, and I’m so excited to return for my second year as a shaliach (Israeli emissary) at camp and be Rosh Ilanot! Last year I was a madrich (counselor) in Kochavim and I had so much fun! I’ve lived in Israel for the past 23 years (born and raised haha), and I’m so excited to come back to Camp Ramah after a long trip of backpacking across Central and South America!!!!! I really love to cook and scuba dive. I’m about to start studying psychology and communication at the University of Tel Aviv, after the kayitz (summer). Get ready for the best kayitz ever!

Outside of camp, I am currently a Junior at the University of Delaware, majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education. I will also be completing a 4+1 Masters in Autism & Severe Disability Studies. My favorite part of camp is singing at the medurah (camp fire), hanging out with my friends and chanichim (campers), and feeling all the camp ruach (spirit) in the air! This kayitz is going to be the best one yet, and I can’t wait to meet you all so soon!! I’m already counting down the days!! L’hitraot b’Palmer! (See you soon, in Palmer!)

I truly believe Magshimim is the best edah in camp– Tzad Bet has so much to offer, and I can’t wait to share it all with you! P.S.
