Announcing the Opening of Ramah Boston Day Camp!

Shalom!

We are thrilled to announce the opening of Ramah Boston Day camp!

After a wildly successful one week pilot program in August, registration for our six week inaugural summer (June 26 – August 4) will open on November 1, 2022. Ramah New England, renowned for its overnight camp in Palmer, MA, and the Ramah Day Camp Greater DC, is excited to bring the Camp Ramah experience to the Greater Boston area.

We are equally excited to announce that Rabbi Rachel Silverman will be our founding director. Rabbi Silverman comes with a wealth of experience in Jewish camping including serving on senior staff at our overnight camp for many years. Having worked with Rabbi Silverman for years, I am confident that she will bring fantastic energy, strong vision and leadership, creative programming, innovative Jewish experiences and a collaborative work environment to the job.

We want to extend a todah rabbah to our fantastic pilot program director, Leora Kimmel Greene. Leora took time from her other professional pursuits to get camp off the ground and has smoothly handed the reins over to Rabbi Silverman.

Key Facts

The inaugural summer will run for six weeks (June 26 – August 4), and serve kids who are entering kindergarten through 6th grade. Ramah Boston is thrilled to be hosted at Gann Academy, utilizing an incredible space in the Boston Jewish community with state-of-the-art facilities. We will be swimming at Bentley University’s pool, just minutes down the road from Gann. Lunch will be served daily and transportation will be provided from major hubs around the Greater Boston area.

Why Choose Ramah?

Our day camp program provides an incredible camping experience in a setting filled with friendship, wonder and discovery, all in an environment where Judaism is integral to daily activities.

At Ramah, we believe in a well-rounded camp program, exposing our campers to sports, arts, outdoor education, and swimming. Ramah Boston offers campers the opportunity to pick from a variety of activities encouraging them to learn new skills, participate in activities that they know and love, and experience the magic of Ramah.

Your child’s well-being is our top priority, and our emphasis on camper care distinguishes Ramah as a premier summer experience. We make sure that each camper is safe, happy and secure, and that their Ramah experience is a time of growth, excitement, learning and fun!

Everything that we do is wrapped up in a joyous Jewish experience. At Ramah, campers learn about Judaism, Israel, t’fillah (prayer), Hebrew, and so much more – simply by having fun! Campers join us from a variety of Jewish backgrounds, and our program is designed to help everyone feel instantly at home.
