Camp Photo Contest!

Last Wednesday as part of our Yom Meyuchad (special day) programming, we challenged the tzrifim (bunks) across the edot to compete in a camp-wide photo contest!

We gave each tzrif ten prompts for their photos, asking them to, for example: take a photo in their favorite makom (location) around camp, and doing a peulah (activity) they love, and having a Jewish moment, etc.

We were bowled over by the results!! It was incredible seeing how the kids, of all ages, captured the aspects of camp that they love!

We hope you’ll enjoy this short montage of some of our very favorite photos!

We invited camp’s Marketing Consultant, Michael Phelan, to help me pick one winning tzrif on each side of camp. We evaluated the photos on a variety of criteria, including: Composition – how well is the scene staged? Beauty – is this a pretty photograph? Is the lighting good? Is the background beautiful or marred by garbage can or something like that? Theme – how well does the photo capture that particular challenge?

The winners were ILANOT tzrif 19 and BOGRIM tzrif 42! As a prize, the two winning tzrifim got to journey into the dairy freezer with me and each picked out an ice cream treat!

Want to see more of the photos the campers took? Current parents can log into the Campanion app to see a big photo gallery with lots of the photos from across the edot!
