Flag Football: Kochavim and Ilanot

Ryan Flaherty (photo, below) is our new Flag Football coach.  He plays college baseball, and is on staff of “Be Ahead of the Game”, whose mission it is “to provide opportunities for movement, sports, games, and FUN to children of all ages. We believe that teaching children the value of physical fitness at a young age instills healthy habits that will last a lifetime.”  A perfect fit for our machane (camp)!

Today was “Take your Camper to Camp Day”; the madrichim (counselors) accompanied the chanichim (campers) to all chugim (electives) throughout the day, and participated with them in the various chugim.  This was a special day for the chanichim, focusing on building strong connections with their madrichim, their chug leaders, and each other.  These Kochavim and Ilanot chanichim (campers) had a great time throwing, catching, running, and learning skills to have a fun athletic experience.
