Fun in the Rain in Omanut!

We had a thunderstorm during the 6:00 hour today… but the fun at camp doesn’t stop when it rains!

Our Tzad Bet ROO sports teams all moved into their rain locations… I spent time in our Bet Am Gadol, where our JV and Varsity basketball teams were practicing together on the gym floor, our track team was working out in the fitness room, our varsity dance team was practicing on the stage, and our band ROO group was practicing in our band room!

Meanwhile, over in Omanut (arts and crafts), all of our regular arts programs were continuing.  Vered Laness, our Rosh Omanut (who just arrived from Israel with her family a few days ago!), snapped some great photos, which you can see above and below.

She also wrote this reflection:

When it rains at camp, I’m so grateful for the rain.

Water means life, especially in the context of Israel and leaving a Jewish life.

We are washing our hands, saying a blessing before we drink water, we’re going to the Mikve to be pure…

When we have rain, it’s time for us to appreciate all the good that we have here in camp and in general.

Today when was raining, I saw all the campers spending good time with each other, playing, making art together, and spending quality time together and it’s made me so appreciative of what we have here in camp.

Here are a few photos that I took, to treasure those moments….

I wish all of us summer with a lot of blessings and good news.

Amen!
