HaYom Yom Yisrael- Today was Israel Day in Machaneh Ramah

Today is Yom Yisrael – Israel Day in Machaneh Ramah. Today we are celebrating Israel and all the different types of people that call it their home. Yom Yisrael was opened by Akiva Harris, the Machzor Sheini (second session) Rosh Limmud (head of learning). The program was run by tzevet Limmud, our Judaic and Israel education staff, for both Tzad Aleph (A-side) and Tzad Bet (B side) hanichim (campers). At the opening ceremony, Akiva said, “Israel is a small country with big things going on, so the theme of this day is diversity in Israel. We will be learning about many different people that make up the country of Israel.”
