Kochavim blasts off during Yom Galaxia (galaxy)

Kochavim had a great time today working on a top priority mission: helping protect the Earth from invading aliens! We spent the morning preparing. After a fun training obstacle course, the chanichim (campers) created their space mission uniform of a helmet and decorated T-shirt. They looked great!

Next they worked on their spacecrafts. They created spaceships out of Oreos and icing and practiced flying paper spaceships (paper airplanes) as close to a target as possible!

After aruchat tzohorayim (lunch) and some menucha (rest) time, the chanichim (campers) were ready to start their mission! They collected all the missing parts of their spaceship from around the migrash (field) and were finally ready for blastoff! They then set about capturing the aliens – their madrichim (counselors)! Once the aliens were captured, the chanichim (campers) defeated them by melting them – playing drip drip drop – and making them laugh!

It has definitely been a day to remember!
